All's Well That Ends Well — Act 3, Scene 4: Rousillon. The COUNT's palace.

Back in Rousillon, the Countess and the Steward discuss Helena’s letter, which says she has gone on pilgrimage to Saint Jaques and explains in painful but restrained language why she left after Bertram’s departure. The Countess is deeply moved by Helena’s devotion and blames herself for not stopping her sooner. The Steward says it is too late to catch her now, but the Countess insists that Bertram must be answered sharply and that Helena’s worth be made plain to him in another letter. She orders the Steward to send a messenger at once, hoping news of Helena’s absence will bring Bertram home and that love will bring Helena back.
