All's Well That Ends Well — Act 4, Scene 5: Rousillon. The COUNT's palace.

At Rousillon, the Countess and Lafeu speak of Bertram’s bad company and of Helena, whom the Countess mourns as a virtuous woman she loved deeply. The Clown joins their joking talk, and Lafeu trades insults with him before sending him away. Afterward, Lafeu tells the Countess that, now the King has heard of Helena’s death and Bertram’s return, he has spoken to the King in support of his daughter, and the King has promised to help. The Countess gladly approves and says she expects Bertram home that night. The Clown returns to report that Bertram is near, scarred, and accompanied by several noblemen, and Lafeu insists on going to meet him.
