As You Like It — Act 1, Scene 2: Lawn before the Duke's palace.

On the lawn before Duke Frederick’s palace, Celia tries to cheer Rosalind, who is still grieving the banishment of her father. The two friends joke about Fortune, and Touchstone arrives with news that Le Beau wants Celia summoned to the duke. Le Beau then describes a wrestling match in which Charles has already badly injured three sons of an old man. When Orlando appears as the challenger, Celia and Rosalind urge him to stop, but he insists on fighting. Rosalind gives him a token from her neck before he defeats Charles. Duke Frederick then turns coldly against Orlando because of his father, while Rosalind and Celia leave.
