As You Like It — Act 4, Scene 1: The forest.

Rosalind and Celia meet Jaques in the forest and trade sharp jokes with him about melancholy and travel. Jaques explains that his sadness comes from his experiences, but Rosalind mocks him for wandering and seeing much without gaining anything useful. Orlando then arrives and greets Rosalind warmly, sending Jaques away. Rosalind scolds Orlando for being late, then resumes their game of courtship, making him plead, kiss, and answer her teasing questions as if she were truly Rosalind. She has Celia act as priest and stages a mock marriage between them, then warns Orlando to keep his promise to return by two o’clock before he leaves.
