Cymbeline — Act 2, Scene 4: Rome. Philario's house.

Back in Philario’s house, Posthumus and Philario speak about the Roman ambassador Caius Lucius and the likelihood of war if Britain refuses tribute. Iachimo arrives from Britain with letters and immediately renews the wager about Imogen’s faith. Posthumus, who still believes in her honesty, challenges him to prove any claim by evidence. Iachimo then gives detailed descriptions of Imogen’s bedchamber, proving he has been there, and shows Posthumus the bracelet he took from her arm. Convinced, Posthumus angrily declares Imogen false, throws away his ring, and spirals into fury. Philario tries to calm him, but Posthumus rushes out in rage.
