Love's Labour's Lost — Act 5, Scene 2: The same.

The Princess and her ladies read the gifts and love letters sent by the king, Biron, Longaville, and Dumain, and joke over the men’s flowery language. Boyet warns them that the four suitors are about to arrive disguised as Russians, so the women mask themselves and plan to mock them. The men arrive, flirt in disguise, and are answered with sharp wit until the ladies expose them and the men admit they have been tricked. Costard then interrupts to announce the Nine Worthies performance, which turns into more comic mockery. Mercade arrives with news that the Princess’s father has died, and the scene ends with all the lovers agreeing to a year’s trial and Armado presenting a final song.
