Romeo and Juliet — Act 1, Scene 3: A room in Capulet's house.

In Capulet’s house, Lady Capulet asks the Nurse to bring Juliet to her, and the Nurse launches into a long, affectionate, and comic account of Juliet’s age and childhood. Lady Capulet then dismisses the Nurse so she can speak privately with her daughter. She tells Juliet she is nearly fourteen and says it is time to think about marriage, explaining that Paris wants to marry her and will be at the evening feast. Juliet says she has not thought about marriage, but Lady Capulet urges her to consider Paris. The Nurse praises him warmly, and Juliet says she will try to like him if she can, as long as she has her mother’s approval.
