Romeo and Juliet — Act 2, Scene 6: Friar Laurence's cell.

Romeo and Friar Laurence meet in the friar’s cell to begin the marriage ceremony. Friar Laurence offers a cautious blessing and warns Romeo that intense passion can end badly if it moves too quickly. Romeo ignores the warning and says he would endure any future sorrow for the joy of being able to call Juliet his. Juliet then arrives, and the friar notes how quickly and lightly she comes. Romeo and Juliet exchange loving words, each trying to describe how deeply they feel. Friar Laurence stops the conversation and takes them away, ready to marry them in the church.
