Romeo and Juliet — Act 4, Scene 5: Juliet's chamber.

The Nurse enters Juliet’s chamber to wake her for the wedding, but finds Juliet cold, dressed, and apparently dead in her bed. Lady Capulet rushes in and is horrified, and when Capulet arrives he confirms the body is lifeless and grieves that death has taken his daughter. Friar Laurence comes with Paris and the musicians, then tells the family to stop panicking and to prepare Juliet’s body for burial instead of marriage. The household turns its wedding plans into funeral arrangements. After the mourners leave, the musicians discuss their lost work, and Peter comes in to trade jokes and threats with them before he finally leaves too.
