The Comedy of Errors — Act 4, Scene 1: A public place.

In a public place, a Second Merchant demands payment from Angelo for a debt, but Angelo says the money should come from Antipholus of Ephesus once he receives payment for the gold chain. When Antipholus appears with Dromio of Ephesus, Angelo presses him for the chain, but Antipholus denies having it and refuses to pay. The Second Merchant has him arrested by an Officer. Then Dromio of Syracuse arrives, believing he is delivering travel arrangements for his master’s escape, but Antipholus mistakes him for a fool and sends him to Adriana with a key and a request for money to bail him out. Antipholus is taken away to prison.
