The First part of King Henry the Fourth — Act 2, Scene 2: The highway, near Gadshill.

On the highway near Gadshill, Prince Henry and Poins hide while Poins tells the Prince that he has moved Falstaff’s horse, leaving him annoyed and on foot. Falstaff arrives, complains bitterly about being tricked, and rants that he is trapped in the company of dishonest companions. When Gadshill, Bardolph, and Peto appear, Bardolph reports that travelers carrying money are coming down the hill. Prince Henry sets the thieves in position, then slips away with Poins. Falstaff and the others rob the travelers, but then Prince Henry and Poins rush in and drive the robbers off. The Prince and Poins recover the loot and laugh at Falstaff’s panic.
