The First part of King Henry the Sixth — Act 4, Scene 3: Plains in Gascony.

York receives a messenger who reports that the Dauphin has marched toward Bourdeaux with a large force to meet Talbot, and that even more troops have joined him on the way. York is furious that Somerset has delayed the horsemen promised for the siege and blames him for leaving Talbot without support. Sir William Lucy then arrives and urgently begs York to ride to Talbot’s aid, warning that Talbot is nearly surrounded and in deadly danger. York laments that he cannot help because Somerset has held back the supply, and he grieves that Talbot may die. Lucy also says he met Talbot’s young son traveling to his father.
