The First part of King Henry the Sixth — Act 4, Scene 4: Other plains in Gascony.

Somerset arrives with his army too late to help Talbot and argues that the campaign was rashly planned. He blames York for setting Talbot up for failure and suggests Talbot has ruined his own reputation by taking such a desperate risk. Sir William Lucy enters and denounces the delay, reporting that Talbot is trapped by French forces and calling on York and Somerset to send aid. Somerset shifts blame to York, and Lucy answers that York has accused Somerset of withholding the horsemen. Somerset finally agrees to dispatch cavalry, but Lucy says the help will come too late. He ends by lamenting Talbot’s fame and blaming Somerset for his shame.
