The Life and Death of Julius Caesar — Act 2, Scene 2: CAESAR's house.

In Caesar’s house, during a stormy morning, Caesar wakes troubled by Calpurnia’s dream that he was murdered. He sends a servant to ask the priests for signs and then hears Calpurnia describe the terrifying omens seen in Rome. Caesar insists that fate cannot be avoided and that a brave man should not fear death, but the augurers report that the sacrificial beast had no heart and advise him to stay home. Calpurnia begs him to remain inside, and Caesar agrees until Decius Brutus arrives. Decius flatters Caesar, reinterprets the dream as a good omen, and reminds him the senate plans to crown him. Caesar changes his mind and prepares to go out.
