The Life and Death of Richard the Third — Act 3, Scene 2: Before Lord Hastings' house.

Before Hastings’ house, a messenger from Stanley warns Hastings that Stanley has dreamed a boar damaged his helmet and fears a danger tied to separate councils. Hastings dismisses the warning and says he will go to the Tower with Stanley. Catesby arrives and carefully probes Hastings’s loyalty, telling him Richard aims at the crown and that the queen’s relatives are to die at Pomfret. Hastings rejects any idea of backing Richard against the prince’s rightful heirs, though he speaks confidently about his own safety. Stanley joins them, still uneasy. A pursuivant and then a priest pass through, and Buckingham appears, joking with Hastings before leading him toward the Tower.
