The Life and Death of Richard the Third — Act 5, Scene 2: The camp near Tamworth.

Richmond enters with Oxford, Blunt, Herbert, and other soldiers in camp near Tamworth and tells them they have marched deep into England without resistance. He reports that Stanley has sent encouraging messages and says Richard, the “usurping boar,” is now near Leicester, only a day’s march away. Richmond urges his men to continue, promising that this bloody struggle will bring lasting peace. Oxford answers that every conscience is like a sword against Richard’s crimes. Herbert and Blunt discuss Richard’s support, with Blunt saying his followers are loyal only out of fear. Richmond ends by ordering the army forward with confidence and hope.
