The Life of King Henry the Eighth — Act 5, Scene 4: The palace yard.

In the palace yard, the Porter and his man struggle to control a huge crowd of people who have come to watch the christening. The Porter angrily scolds the noisy onlookers and jokes that the place is packed with a wild mix of mothers, godfathers, and curious townspeople. His man complains that the crowd is impossible to manage and describes how he was nearly overwhelmed while trying to keep order. The Chamberlain arrives, sees the chaos, and blames the porters for letting so many in. When trumpets announce the christening party’s return, he orders the men to make a passage for the procession, and the crowd presses back to let it through.
