The Life of King Henry the Fifth — Act 2, Scene 2: Southampton. A council-chamber.

At Southampton, Exeter, Bedford, and Westmoreland discuss the hidden treason of Cambridge, Scroop, and Grey, who have betrayed the king for French money. When Henry enters with the three lords, he tests them by speaking warmly of their loyalty and handing them papers that reveal their conspiracy. Their faces change, and Cambridge, Scroop, and Grey confess. Henry denounces the betrayal, especially Scroop’s close friendship with him, and orders Exeter to arrest them. The traitors each beg forgiveness, but Henry sentences them to death under the law. After they are led away, he turns back to the campaign against France and prepares to sail.
