The Life of King Henry the Fifth — Act 3, Scene 0: PROLOGUE

The Chorus asks the audience to imagine Henry sailing from Hampton with his fleet toward Harfleur, with sailors moving about the ships and the wind driving the vessels across the sea. He asks them to picture England left behind and the army made up of chosen soldiers heading to France. Then he shifts the scene to the siege of Harfleur, with artillery aimed at the city. He also imagines the French ambassador returning with an offer of Princess Katharine and some small dukedoms, which Henry rejects. The chorus ends with cannon fire and a request that the audience help complete the play with their imagination.
