The Merry Wives of Windsor — Act 4, Scene 4: A room in FORD'S house.

Page, Ford, Mistress Page, Mistress Ford, and Sir Hugh Evans gather to compare their messages from Falstaff and to settle how to use him. Ford, no longer angry, agrees to trust his wife and joins the plot against Falstaff. The two couples decide to lure him to Herne’s oak at midnight, where Mistress Page proposes dressing Anne Page, her son, and other children as fairies to frighten and pinch him before revealing the trick. Evans offers to coach the children. They also discuss costumes and disguises. Before they part, Mistress Page sends Mistress Ford to check Falstaff’s intentions, while she privately decides to support Doctor Caius as Anne’s husband.
