The Second part of King Henry the Fourth — Act 4, Scene 5: Another chamber.

King Henry lies sick in bed with Clarence, Gloucester, Warwick, and others attending him, and asks for quiet and music. Prince Henry enters and is told the king is resting, while the crown has been placed on the king’s pillow. After the others leave, the prince speaks alone, reflects on the burden of kingship, and takes the crown with him. When Henry IV wakes and notices the crown missing, he accuses Harry of assuming he is dying. Warwick brings the prince back, and Henry IV rebukes him for seeming eager for power. Prince Henry defends himself, returns the crown, and declares his loyalty. Henry IV then gives Harry his final counsel before asking to be moved to Jerusalem.
