The Second part of King Henry the Fourth — Act 5, Scene 5: A public place near Westminster Abbey.

At Westminster, attendants spread rushes for the coronation while Falstaff arrives with Shallow, Pistol, Bardolph, and the Page, expecting the new king to favor him. When King Henry V enters with his train and the Chief-Justice, Falstaff greets him eagerly, but Henry publicly rejects him, says he no longer knows him, and banishes him from court along with his old companions, though he allows them enough to live honestly. Falstaff is stunned but still talks of reward and advancement. Then the Chief-Justice orders Falstaff and his company to the Fleet. After they are taken away, Prince John and the Chief-Justice discuss the king’s firm action and leave together.
