The Second part of King Henry the Sixth — Act 1, Scene 4: GLOUCESTER's garden.

In Gloucester’s garden, Hume brings Margaret Jourdain, Southwell, and Bolingbroke to carry out the duchess Eleanor’s planned conjuring. Hume leaves, and the others set up their circle and summon a spirit in the dark, stormy night. Eleanor watches from above while the spirit answers questions about King Henry, Suffolk, and Somerset, giving grim predictions. Before the questioning goes farther, York and Buckingham arrive with guards and burst in on the group. They accuse the conjurers of treason, seize Eleanor, Hume, and the others, and take them away. York reads the spirit’s answers, judges them unclear, and sends word that Henry is traveling toward Saint Albans.
