The Third part of King Henry the Sixth — Act 5, Scene 2: A field of battle near Barnet.

In the battle at Barnet, Edward enters carrying the wounded Warwick and taunts him as a defeated enemy before leaving to hunt down Montague. Left alone, Warwick speaks over his own ruined body, reflecting on his power, wealth, and authority now reduced to nothing but dying flesh. Oxford and Somerset arrive and tell him that the queen has brought a strong force from France, giving Lancaster new hope. Warwick calls for Montague, but Somerset says Montague has also been killed and died calling for him. Warwick accepts the loss, tells the others to save themselves, and dies. Oxford has Warwick’s body carried away and urges a retreat to meet the queen’s army.
