The Tragedy of Macbeth — Act 1, Scene 1: A desert place.

In a stormy, deserted place, three witches gather and arrange to meet again after a battle is over. They agree to come together on the heath before sunset, and one of them says they will meet Macbeth there. The witches call to their familiar spirits, showing that they are already linked to dark, unnatural forces. Before leaving, they speak together in a strange, reversed way that blurs the line between good and evil. The scene ends with them disappearing into the fog and bad weather, setting a mysterious and ominous mood.
