The Tragedy of Macbeth — Act 1, Scene 6: Before Macbeth's castle.

Duncan and his party arrive at Macbeth’s castle and admire how pleasant and healthy the place feels. Banquo notices that birds nest there, which suggests the air is calm and welcoming. Lady Macbeth then comes out to greet Duncan with great politeness and praise, making the castle seem even more hospitable. Duncan asks after the Thane of Cawdor, whom he had been pursuing, and says Macbeth has reached home before them. Lady Macbeth responds as a loyal servant, offering herself and the household to Duncan’s service. Duncan says he loves Macbeth highly, takes Lady Macbeth by the hand, and goes with her into the castle as his guest.
