The Tragedy of Macbeth — Act 5, Scene 2: The country near Dunsinane.

Scottish nobles and soldiers gather near Dunsinane as drums signal the advancing army. Menteith says Malcolm, Siward, and Macduff lead the English force, and Angus notes they are coming by way of Birnam Wood. Caithness asks whether Donalbain is with them, and Lennox replies that he is not. The men describe Macbeth as a tyrant who is feverishly fortifying Dunsinane, though his cause is falling apart. Angus says Macbeth feels his secret murders and that the people serving him obey only out of duty, not loyalty. The nobles decide to march toward Birnam and support the rightful cause against Macbeth.
