Titus Andronicus — Act 5, Scene 2: Rome. Before TITUS's house.

Tamora enters disguised as Revenge with Demetrius and Chiron as her “ministers,” planning to deceive Titus and use his madness against him. Titus, speaking from above, first answers her as if he understands the disguise, then comes down and pretends to welcome Revenge, Demetrius, and Chiron as if they were the powers of murder and rape. He sends Marcus to bring Lucius and the Goths to a banquet at his house. After Tamora leaves, Titus has Publius and others seize and bind Demetrius and Chiron. He brings in Lavinia, accuses them of raping her and causing the deaths in his family, and then cuts their throats, preparing to serve their bodies at the feast.
