Troilus and Cressida — Act 3, Scene 2: The same. Pandarus' orchard.

In Pandarus’s orchard, Troilus waits anxiously for news of Cressida while Pandarus sends Troilus’s boy away. Troilus compares his longing to a soul waiting for passage, and Pandarus returns to say Cressida is ready. When he brings her in, he teases both lovers into kissing and talking. Left alone together, Troilus and Cressida speak shyly at first, then confess their love. Cressida worries about her own weakness and possible falsehood, while Troilus promises constancy and praises her honesty. Pandarus returns, joins their hands, makes them swear to each other, and then leads them off to a chamber.
