Troilus and Cressida — Act 3, Scene 3: The Grecian camp. Before Achilles' tent.

In the Greek camp, Calchas asks the Greek commanders to reward his service by exchanging the captured Antenor for Cressida. Agamemnon agrees and sends Diomedes to arrange the exchange and report on Hector’s challenge. Ulysses then leads the princes in pointedly ignoring Achilles to wound his pride, and Achilles is offended when they pass him by without respect. Ulysses uses the insult to argue that honor depends on action, not past glory, and reminds Achilles that he is known to be in love with a daughter of Priam. Patroclus urges Achilles to act, and Achilles sends Thersites to Ajax with a message inviting Hector to his tent.
