Troilus and Cressida — Act 4, Scene 4: The same. Pandarus' house.

Pandarus tries to calm Cressida as she grieves over being forced to leave Troy, but she says her sorrow is too strong to moderate. Troilus enters, and the lovers embrace while Pandarus watches and laments their separation. Troilus tells Cressida that she must go to the Greeks, then asks her to be true to him and warns her, in a gentle but anxious way, about the temptations she may face there. Cressida protests and gives him a sleeve while he gives her a glove. When Aeneas, Paris, Antenor, Deiphobus, and Diomedes arrive, Troilus formally hands Cressida over to Diomedes and threatens him if he mistreats her. After Troilus, Cressida, and Diomedes leave together, the others prepare to go to Hector.
