Troilus and Cressida — Act 5, Scene 6: Another part of the plains.

On the battlefield, Ajax shouts for Troilus, and Diomedes arrives also looking for him so he can punish him. When Troilus enters, he accuses Diomedes of betrayal and demands payment for the stolen horse, and Ajax tries to keep the fight between them alone. Troilus attacks both Greeks at once, and they all exit fighting. Hector then enters and praises Troilus’s bravery. Achilles appears, but after a brief exchange he refuses Hector’s challenge and leaves. Troilus returns, sees Ajax has captured Aeneas, and swears he will either rescue him or die trying. Hector then confronts another armed Greek and pursues him into combat.
