Twelfth Night — Act 1, Scene 4: DUKE ORSINO's palace.

Valentine tells Viola, now disguised as Cesario, that Duke Orsino has already taken a liking to him and may raise his status. Orsino then arrives and sends Cesario to Olivia’s house to press his suit. He explains that Cesario knows his private feelings and should stand outside Olivia’s doors until she grants an audience. Viola doubts Olivia will agree, but Orsino orders Cesario to be forceful if needed and then speak of Orsino’s love. He praises Cesario’s youthful, feminine appearance as useful for the task. Viola agrees to try, though aside she admits the mission troubles her because she would rather woo for herself.
