Twelfth Night — Act 2, Scene 4: DUKE ORSINO's palace.

At Duke Orsino’s palace, Orsino asks for music and has Cesario listen with him. Curio brings in Feste the clown to sing the old song Orsino wants, and the melancholy performance briefly suits Orsino’s mood. After the song, Orsino dismisses the others and resumes sending Cesario to Olivia with a fresh message of his love. Viola, still disguised as Cesario, questions whether Olivia can reject such devotion and suggests that women may love as truly as men. She then tells a story of a woman who hid her feelings, clearly speaking of herself, before Orsino hands Cesario a jewel to deliver to Olivia.
