Twelfth Night — Act 3, Scene 1: OLIVIA's garden.

In Olivia’s garden, Viola, disguised as Cesario, meets the clown and trades witty wordplay with him before asking if Olivia is inside. Sir Toby and Sir Andrew then bring her to Olivia, but Olivia orders everyone else away and speaks to Cesario alone. Viola repeats Orsino’s suit, yet Olivia insists she has already sent back the ring and thinks Cesario has wronged her by forcing attention on her. Their exchange grows more pointed, and Olivia admits she is drawn to Cesario despite his resistance. Viola denies any love for her, takes leave, and Olivia asks her to return.
