Two Gentlemen of Verona — Act 2, Scene 7: Verona. JULIA'S house.

Julia tells Lucetta that she wants to travel to Proteus and asks for help planning the journey without damaging her honor. Lucetta warns that the trip is long and risky, but Julia insists that love makes the distance bearable and says she will go as a patient pilgrim. They argue about what disguise she should wear, and Julia decides on a page’s outfit rather than women’s clothing. Lucetta teases her about the costume, while Julia worries that people will think badly of her. She defends Proteus’s faithfulness, then orders Lucetta to help her make a list of what she needs before she leaves at once.
