All's Well That Ends Well — Act 2, Scene 3: Paris. The KING's palace.

At the king’s palace in Paris, Lafeu, Bertram, and Parolles discuss the miracle of the king’s cure while Helena waits for the king to bring in the young lords. The king publicly thanks Helena and tells the lords to court her, but she chooses Bertram. When she names him, the king orders Bertram to marry her at once. Bertram resists, saying he cannot love a poor physician’s daughter, but the king angrily overrules him and forces him to accept the match. After the others leave, Lafeu mocks Parolles, then reports that Bertram is married. Bertram laments the marriage, vows not to sleep with Helena, and decides to go to the Tuscan wars with Parolles.
