Antony and Cleopatra — Act 4, Scene 10: Between the two camps.

Antony enters with Scarus and the army and considers Caesar’s plan for the day’s fighting. He says the enemy will fight by sea rather than on land, and he wishes they would battle in impossible places like fire or air, since he would meet them there too. He then gives a practical order: their foot soldiers on the hills beside the city are to remain with him. Antony explains that the enemy fleet has left the harbor, and that this position will let him watch Caesar’s movement and see how the attack develops. Antony and his forces then go out.
