Cymbeline — Act 2, Scene 5: Another room in Philario's house.

Alone after being shown Iachimo’s proof, Posthumus sinks into bitter self-reproach and rage. He curses his own birth, calling human origin worthless and comparing himself to a counterfeit coin, then remembers how innocent and restrained Imogen once seemed to him. That memory only sharpens his fury at Iachimo’s supposed conquest of her. He launches into a long attack on women, blaming them for lying, flattery, lust, deceit, ambition, and every other vice he can name. Even as he hates them, he admits that the best revenge is to wish them nothing but their own wishes, and he exits determined in his anger.
