Cymbeline — Act 3, Scene 6: Wales. Before the cave of Belarius.

Imogen, disguised as a boy and calling herself Fidele, reaches the wild country near Milford Haven exhausted and hungry after sleeping on the ground for two nights. She complains about the hardships of travel and is doubtful of the honesty of strangers, but she still follows a path to a cave and calls for help. Belarius, Guiderius, and Arviragus return from hunting and are startled by her appearance. Thinking her a young man, they question her, then welcome her kindly when she says she is bound for Milford. Imogen is moved by their friendship and inwardly compares them favorably with the false Posthumus before accepting their invitation to stay and eat.
