Love's Labour's Lost — Act 2, Scene 1: The same.

The Princess of France arrives with Rosaline, Maria, Katharine, Boyet, and attendants to negotiate with Ferdinand about the debt and Aquitaine. Boyet prepares her for the meeting, and the women discuss Navarre’s lords, describing Longaville, Dumain, and Biron. Ferdinand greets the Princess politely but refuses to let her enter the court because of his oath, so they argue over the debt and Aquitaine while Boyet says the proof of payment has not yet arrived. The lords flirt separately with the Princess and her ladies, and each man shows interest in a different woman. After Ferdinand leaves, Boyet tells the Princess that Navarre seems already affected by love, and the women mock his observations before going off to their pavilion.
