Othello, the Moore of Venice — Act 3, Scene 2: A room in the castle.

Othello enters in Cyprus with Iago and some gentlemen and gives Iago letters to deliver to the ship’s pilot, so they can be sent on to the Venetian senate. He says that after this business is done, he will walk out to inspect the fortifications and tells Iago to meet him there. Then Othello asks the gentlemen whether they want to go and see the defenses with him. They agree to accompany him, and the group leaves together.
