Pericles, Prince of Tyre — Act 3, Scene 0

Gower explains that Pericles and Thaisa have married and that their wedding feast has ended. In a dumb show, a messenger brings Pericles a letter from Tyre, which he shows to Simonides; the lords honor him, and Thaisa, now visibly pregnant, appears with her nurse Lychorida. After the letter is read, Thaisa and Pericles take leave of Simonides and depart together. Gower then reports that news has reached Pentapolis: Antiochus and his daughter are dead, the lords of Tyre wanted Helicanus to take the crown, and Pericles must return home. Thaisa, unwilling to stay behind, sails with him, but their ship is caught in a violent storm and she goes into labor.
