The Comedy of Errors — Act 4, Scene 4: A street.

Antipholus of Ephesus is brought along by the Officer, still under arrest, and sends for money through Dromio of Ephesus, who returns only with a rope’s end and gets beaten. Adriana, Luciana, the Courtezan, and Doctor Pinch arrive and all assume Antipholus is mad; Pinch tries to diagnose and exorcise him, while Antipholus angrily denies the accusations about dining at home and being locked out. When he and Dromio resist, servants try to bind them, but the Officer insists on keeping his prisoner. Adriana learns the debt is owed to Angelo for a chain, then leaves to settle it. Finally, Antipholus of Syracuse and Dromio appear with drawn swords, frighten everyone away, and depart.
