The First part of King Henry the Sixth — Act 1, Scene 6: The same.

On the walls of Orleans, Joan la Pucelle enters with Charles, Reignier, Alencon, and soldiers to announce that the city has been rescued from the English. Charles praises Joan as the source of their victory and says France should celebrate her as a divine helper. Reignier and Alencon urge public rejoicing with bells, bonfires, and feasting, while Charles insists that the victory belongs to Joan rather than to the French leaders themselves. In gratitude, he promises her extraordinary honors, including public praise, a monument, and remembrance after death. The scene ends with Charles calling everyone inside to hold a royal banquet in celebration of the day’s success.
