The First part of King Henry the Sixth — Act 4, Scene 5: The English camp near Bourdeaux.

Talbot meets his son John in the English camp near Bourdeaux and tells him he sent for him to learn war and carry on the family name. But Talbot sees that the battle is now desperate and tries to send John away on the fastest horse so he can survive. John refuses to flee, saying it would shame his mother and dishonor the Talbot name. He insists that if his father stays, he will stay too, and that he cannot bear to live if Talbot dies. Talbot then accepts that they will remain together, and father and son leave side by side to face death.
