The First part of King Henry the Sixth — Act 4, Scene 7: Another part of the field.

In the battlefield near Bourdeaux, Talbot enters with a servant and grieves over the loss of his son John, describing how the young man fought bravely and died after refusing to flee. Soldiers bring in John’s body, and Talbot lays him in his arms, overwhelmed by sorrow. He then dies beside his son. Charles, Alencon, Burgundy, the Bastard of Orleans, and Joan la Pucelle enter and comment on John’s courage and Talbot’s death. Sir William Lucy arrives to ask who has won the day and whether Talbot still lives. Joan tells him Talbot is dead, and Lucy demands the bodies for burial. Charles orders them taken away, and Lucy leaves with the dead.
