The Life of King Henry the Fifth — Act 2, Scene 1: London. A street.

On a street in London, Bardolph tries to keep the old companions calm as Nym and Pistol edge toward a quarrel over their past ties to Mistress Quickly. Nym speaks in his usual guarded way, while Pistol angrily denies being called her husband and insults Nym. The Hostess joins in, worried that their fighting will disgrace her household, and the three men nearly draw weapons before Bardolph keeps them apart. The Boy arrives with news that Sir John Falstaff is very ill and wants to go to bed, and the Hostess says the king has made him sick at heart. The men finally agree to go see Falstaff together.
