The Life of King Henry the Fifth — Act 4, Scene 4: The field of battle.

During the battle at Agincourt, Pistol captures a French soldier and tries to extort a ransom from him using broken French and threats. He demands money, insults the prisoner, and orders the Boy to translate. The Boy explains that the Frenchman is a gentleman who offers two hundred crowns, and Pistol quickly agrees to spare him and take the ransom. The French soldier thanks him lavishly, mistaking Pistol for a noble English captain. After the prisoner leaves with Pistol, the Boy mocks Pistol’s loud bravery as empty show and says he must stay behind with the camp luggage, since only boys are left to guard it.
