The Tragedy of Coriolanus — Act 1, Scene 8: A field of battle.

In the heat of battle, Caius Marcius and Tullus Aufidius meet alone and immediately challenge each other. Marcius says he will fight no one else because he hates Aufidius above all others, and Aufidius answers with the same hostility, telling him to stand his ground. Marcius boasts that he has already fought inside Corioli and dares Aufidius to bring all his strength. They exchange threats and begin fighting fiercely. When some Volsces come to help Aufidius, Marcius continues to fight them off until they are driven away. Aufidius then rebukes his own men for shaming him by interfering in a duel he wanted to fight alone.
